Adirondack Style Lake House

A stuffed raccoon stands guard outside the master bath, sitting atop a hickory stand and reflected in the birch-framed mirror. The claw-foot air tub has three tables (constructed from stair leftovers) strategically placed around it. Birch branches accent the upper window moldings here and in the bunkroom. The teal blue paint repeats the essence of sky and lake. A handcrafted Adirondack-styled bed commands the master bedroom, with custom bed coverings echoing the teal and brown palette. Nightstands and chair add balance, with rustic bed steps, clothing pole and lamps provide finishing touches.

The bunkroom readily accommodates six children with its three sets of bunks surrounding a large, stuffed ottoman on an inviting, shaggy area rug. The hand-carved and painted fish hangs above the windows, keeping a close eye on Kids' bedtime fun. The "make yourself comfortable" guestroom has rugged overtones established by the unusual branch bench and canoe wall accent. The antique chest and nightstand compliment the new louvered headboard.
